Sterling Learns to Crawl!

After walking for many months, Sterling finally decided to learn how to crawl. It's hilarious to watch him as he is aware of what he's doing. And of course, we egg him on, doting and completely amused parents that we are!

I took this picture on Steve's birthday with a timer, so I could give it to him as a present. Needless to say, it was sort of a disaster. Sterling had just been crying and all I can say is timer photography is not easy with a fourteen-month-old!! But doesn't he look so sweet nonetheless?

We Are Now a Toddler

Sterling is now a toddler. You know how I can tell? His favorite word is "no." He cries when he can't have something. I mean really cries. And he wants everything he can't have. He is able to communicate just enough to be really frustrated. And then he cries. I mean really cries. 

He's been having a rough few days. I think molars are coming in and can be to blame for all of this. There are so many things that create a mood that you can only guess. But I definitely notice a change in his demeanor from infant to toddler.

What do I love? Sitting in my lap to read books. Sterling loves books. And he shakes his head when a good song comes on. And today he took a two and a half hour nap. That was cool.
